Basic Physical Therapy
The long-term goal of Physical Therapy is to teach the adult learners how to manage and/or alleviate the current symptoms and how to prevent future episodes of pain from returning. Other functional goals are made based on the common patient's specific complaints, whether there be an inability to sleep through the night without pain, stand/walk for daily activities or exercise, sit for an extended period of time. Specific goals to increase the strength or flexibility of specific sources of pain are then made to facilitate the functional goals
This module deals with the basic of reflexology and its use in a simple session or in conjunction with other bodywork modalities. The participant will learn specific techniques that can be applied during a session as well as a basic understanding of the benefits of Reflexology and the theories supporting this form of treatment.
